Mrs. Louise Echols Howard, age 90 of Hampton, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020, loving wife to the late Homer H. Howard, Jr... She was born in Fulton Co. to the late Guy & Endia Echols. Louise enjoyed traveling and camping. When she wasn’t enjoying her flower garden, she was cooking for her family. She was a member of Hampton First Baptist Church. Mrs. Howard is survived by her children: Bill (Cynthia) Howard of Locust Grove, Debbie (Steve) Williams of Hampton, Sandra (Blane) Goss of Athens, and Elaine (Mike) Ridgway of Hampton; grandchildren: Michele Barfield, Michael Howard, Amanda Blake, Jim Williams, Andria Lamp, Blake Wallace, Kayla Timmons, Karen Daniel, and Chad Ridgway; twenty-three great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; brothers: Douglas (June) Echols of Hampton, Gary Echols of Morrow, Buddy Echols of McDonough, and Ricky (Lynda) Echols of McDonough; sisters: Pat (Ray) Ryle of Riverdale, Jackie Mitchell Echols of McDonough; sister-in-law: Bonnie Echols of Athens; brothers-in-law: J.L. Higgins of Oxford, and H.D. Howard of McDonough; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings: Eloise Brown, Frances Echols, Ed Echols, Betty Higgins, Linda Cheaves, George Echols, and Sonny Echols. A graveside service will be held at Berea Cemetery on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at 11:30AM with Pastor Craig McAdams officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
