Linda Hammock Branan

Linda Branan, age 79, passed away on October 28, 2023. She was born to the late Henry Carson Hammock and Ruby Crumbley Hammock on November 26, 1943. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Hazel Gardner, Bob Hammock, Mary Jo Leverette, Ann Gardner, Bill Hammock, Jimmy Hammock, and Larry Hammock.

She was a selfless, caring, supportive person who encouraged anyone who crossed her path. A wonderful wife, mother, “Jama”, sister, friend and prayer warrior. She enjoyed spending time with family; traveling with her sisters; sitting on the back porch and visiting her beloved Jekyll Island with her dear husband, Ed.

Linda is survived by her husband, Ed; child, Ann Bertschin (Wallace) of Eatonton, Georgia; grandchildren, Hailee Prator (Cory) of Jackson, Georgia, Lance Herring of McDonough, Georgia, Brice Bertschin of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Jordan Hovers (Jeremy) of Stockbridge, Georgia, and Andi Bertschin of Eatonton, Georgia; great-grandchildren Hadlee Ann Prator and Barrett Prator; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at 1:00pm on Friday, November 3, 2023 followed by the funeral services at 2:00pm at Salem Baptist Church. Interment will follow at East Lawn Cemetery in McDonough, GA.
