Larry Johnson

Mr. Larry James Johnson, age 64, of Hampton, GA passed away August 22, 2015. Larry was born in Baldwin County, the son of the late Mable Rae Crooms Johnson and William Earl Johnson. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, golf, reading, and working. Larry retired as a crane operator from Heaton Erecting Inc. He was a member of the Hampton Masonic Lodge. Survivors are his loving wife of 44 plus years, Elaine VanDevender Johnson of Hampton; daughter, Aprille Johnson Gladis and husband, Glen Gladis of Locust Grove; brothers and sisters-in-law, Brian & Kathy VanDevender of Snellville, Neal and Paul VanDevender of Newnan; sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Michael Broome of Atlanta; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Larry will be Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 7:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. George Freeman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
