Kirby Gerald Hunt

Mr. Kirby Gerald Hunt, age 87, of McDonough, GA passed away November 9, 2018. Mr. Hunt was born in Commerce, GA the son of the late Roselyn Lyle Hunt and Kirby Norris Hunt. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, Chris Hunt.

Mr. Hunt was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and the Seekers Sunday School Class. He served his country in the US Air Force. He worked and retired from Georgia Power with 32 years of service. Mr. Hunt enjoyed spending time with family and friends, camping, fishing, wood working, being outdoors and nature, and watching and feeding animals.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sammy Hunt of McDonough; children, Lynn Adams (Danny), Martha Bowles (Jerry), Gerald Hunt (Jackie), and Terry Hunt (Diocy) all of McDonough; 16 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; brother, David Hunt (Faye) of Monroe, GA; and 1 niece and 1 nephew.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Shephard officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
