John Kirk Owens, age 56, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022. John was born December 11, 1965 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late James Heyward and Peggy Lynn Simpson Owens. John was preceded in death by a daughter, Olivia Grace Owens; son, Justin Garrett Owens; brothers, Joel and Les Owens. He graduated from Henry County High School, Class of 1985 and was owner and operator of McDonough Fence Company for 38 years. John was a member of Rock Springs Church and enjoyed fishing, cooking out, watching football and NASCAR. Survivors include his son, Wesley Owens; grandson, Parker Jayce Owens; brother and sister-in-law, Lyn and JoAnn Owens; former wife, Yolanda Owens; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 10, 2022 - 4:00 PM at Eastlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions are asked to be made to the funeral home to assist in covering the funeral expenses.
