John Albert Morris

John Albert Morris, age 59, of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021. He was born on September 22, 1962 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late John A. Horn and Joy Maynard Hamby. John was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and he worked for the Local 72 as a pipefitter for 32 years. He was a loving husband, father and pawpaw. No matter what he was always a Falcons fan. John is survived by his wife of 34 years as of October 23, Kathy Morris of Locust Grove, and a daughter, Brandie (Justin) Waldroup of Jenkinsburg, GA. Grandchildren, Jared, Olivia, Luke and Elijah, one brother, Robert Horn of Woodstock, GA, sisters, Macy Jacobson, Pam Morris and Melissa Hamby. Brother-in-law, Andy (Berta) Folds, step-mother, Sandra Horn and step-father, Jerry Hamby and several nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Grace Baptist Church in Locust Grove, GA. John and his family would like for donations, in lieu of flowers, to be made to Celebrate Recovery at Relevant Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
