Joe Bert Roberson, died peacefully on Friday, March 6, 2020. Joe was born on July 27, 1952 in Lubbock, TX to James and Marie Roberson. He grew up in Ropesville, TX where he was a graduate of Ropesville High School. Joe was a longtime resident of McDonough, GA before moving to Tybee Island. Joe was predeceased by his wife, Vickie Lynn Roberson. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Robin Roberson; granddaughter, Jocelynn Brianna Alicia Roberson Burch; nephew, Drew Lowery; niece, Lisa Lowery Cody; great-nephew, Elijah Cody; and a great-niece, Jessica Abigail Cody. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions in Joe’s honor be made to The Shriners Hospital for Children at www.lovetotherescue.org
