Joan Ann Ballingall

Joan Ann Ballingall, age 85, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021. Joan was born October 25, 1935 in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania to the late Charles and Emma Kirby. Her devotion to the Methodist Church and her personal relationship with Jesus assured that she was met in Heaven by her husband Frank, daughter Lynne and grandchild Irby. Joan spent her 45 year career in Accounting eventually working her way to vice president of the firm. She would temper her work life by enjoying time with her family and her hobbies that included music (choir director), needlework, knitting and especially genealogy. Joan also showed her servants heart through her time working in the PTA and as one-time Chairwoman of The Fresh Air Fund, an organization that provides summer activities for children in New York's underserved communities. Joan's legacy lives on through her sons Alan (Laura), Gary and Brian (Sandra) as well as grandchildren Kyle, Hannah, Tanner, Joslyn, Jenae, Dawn and Ryan. A special place was reserved in Joan's heart for her 9 great grandchildren; Taylor, Serenetey, Braxton, Crew, Sophia Rose, McKenzie, Adalynne, Leeland, and Noah as well as her brother in law Robert (Alice). Funeral services will be held on Thursday September 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, Ga. with the family receiving friends for one hour prior.
