Jo Fears Middlebrooks, age 70, of Hampton, Ga passed away April 25, 2018. Jo was born in Hampton, GA the daughter of the late Julia Tarpley Fears and Grady Franklin Fears. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Jack Fears and a nephew, Lee Fears.
Jo Graduated from Henry County High School Class of 1966, received her nursing degree from Gordon. She worked most of her working career for Piedmont Henry Medical as an Infectious Disease Control Coordinator. Jo was a member of First Christian Church in Jonesboro where she enjoyed working with the children. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Jo also enjoyed the animals on the family farm and her nursing career was special as well.
Survivors are her husband of 48 years, Jimmy S. Middlebrooks; children, Julie Harrison (Anthony) and Jason Middlebrooks (Stephanie); grandchildren, Joanne and Adam Harrison and Mackenzie and Elijah Middlebrooks all of Hampton; brother, Robert Mack Hill of Woodstock and a niece, Dorothy Bremer.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 30, 2018, from 12:00 – 1:45 PM. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM in the chapel with Pastor Wade Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Berea Cemetery in Hampton. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Noah Ark Animal Shelter in Locust Grove.
