Mr. Jimmy Loyd Byrd, age 78 of McDonough, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, loving husband of 58 years to Carolyn Byrd. Mr. Byrd was born in Huntsville, AL to the late Marshall and Gladys Byrd. Jimmy was the proud owner of Byrd Air Conditioning Co. Inc. for 37 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, classic cars, fishing and trying his luck with the slot machines. In addition to his wife Carolyn; Jimmy is survived by his children: Tony Byrd of Stockbridge, Lisa Byrd-Sadler and Tim Sadler of McDonough, and Kellie Byrd-Young and Matt Young of McDonough; grandchildren: T.J. Byrd, Baylee Warfel, Sydney Warfel, Tim Sadler, and Trey Sadler; brother: Billy & Carol Byrd of Huntsville, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sisters: Evelyn and Diane; and brothers: Marshall, Leon, Vernon, Tommy, Dickie, Jackie, and Charles. The family will receive friends at Haisten Funeral Home on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 4:00PM - 7:00PM. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home at 3:00PM on Sunday, January 5, 2020 with Pastor Craig Walden officiating. Entombment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
