Mr. James "Jimmy" William Austin, Jr., 67 of McDonough, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2019, loving husband of 47 years to Debra Austin. Mr. Austin was born in Atlanta, GA to Mrs. Ellen Duffey Austin and the late James William Austin, Sr.. Jimmy enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He did a little of everything; including owning his own businesses and working for GDC Federal Credit Union for over 30 years as the General Manager. He was a Godly man and attended Glen Haven Baptist Church. Jimmy was a wonderful family provider and loved his family. In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include his sons: Jason (Jessica) Austin of McDonough and Kevin (Candace) Austin of Monticello; grandchildren: Broc, Derek, Landon and Amelia; and sister: Donna A. Moss of McDonough. The family will receive friends at Haisten Funeral Home on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 from 4:00PM - 8:00PM. A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Glenn Haven Baptist Church.
