Mrs. Jerline Higgins Chambers, age 91 of McDonough, Georgia passed away April 24, 2020. She was born in Newnan, Georgia to the late Edgar Eugene and Lois Odella Stephens Slaton. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Allen Higgins and Charlie Chambers; son, Larry Higgins and by her siblings, Myrtie Eubanks, Thomas Slaton, Junior Slaton and Helen Howard and by ten half siblings. Jerline had worked for Milliken Cotton Mill in LaGrange and retired after 38 years as a lunch room worker at Morrow Elementary School. She was a member of Ash Street Baptist Church in Forest Park. She enjoyed talking on the phone to her life long friend, Ruby, going out to eat, shopping at Walmart and Sam's Club and visiting casinos. Survivors include her children, Kathy (Chuck) Honea and Jerry (Sandra) Higgins; grandchildren, Heather (David) Brown, Krista (Barry) Brannan, Jeremy (Melissa) Higgins and Jamie (Mallorie) Higgins; great grandchildren, Jason Higgins, Jackson Higgins, Kayley Russell, Cooper Brown, Austin Fry and Joey Higgins; nephews, Bobby (Cindy) Olmstead and Donald (Ann) Olmstead; numerous other nieces and nephews.
