Ms. Jeannie Faye Driver, age 73 of Stockbridge, Georgia passed away August 29, 2018. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Charles Alfred and Fannie Simpson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Whidby and siblings, Richard Simpson, Shirley Tatum, Juanita Davenport, Woodrow Simpson, Audrey Spence and Tony Simpson. Jean was a member of the Church of God at Hearn Road. She retired from CTC and later worked at Home Depot. She enjoyed collecting wind chimes, travel, doing yard work, and visiting the mountains. Survivors include her children, Raymond Baird of Bremen, Lisa Whidby of Austell, Darlene Whidby of Stockbridge, Martie Whidby of Jonesboro and Cathlene (Francisco) Escobar of Riverdale; 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; brothers, Larry (Rita) Simpson of Jackson and Marty (Patricia) Simpson of Jonesboro; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 – 7:00 PM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Marty Simpson will officiate. Friends may visit the family Saturday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM prior to the service.
