James Gordan Keck Jr.

Mr. James Gordan Keck, Jr. age 91, of Jenkinsburg, Ga passed away December 7, 2016. Mr. Keck was born in Pittsboro, NC the son of the late Nora Hattie Jones Keck and James Gordan Keck Sr. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Ellsberry Keck; siblings, Bill Keck, Roy Keck, Lib Sykes, Geneva Harris and Beulah Donaldson. Mr. Keck enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, sports and serving in his church. He was a member of Kenwood First Baptist Church in Fayetteville. He served his country in the US Army from 1943 – 1946 receiving a purple heart in WW II and a victory medal. Survivors are his children, Priscilla Rogers (Owen) of Riverdale; James Kenneth Keck of Jenkinsburg and Glenn Keck (Jennie) of Locust Grove; 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; siblings, Doris Jackson of Pittsboro, NC and Pat Weeks (Jim) of Pittsboro, NC; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 – 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be on Saturday, December 10, 2016 – 11:00 Am in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Lynn McClain and Rev. Darrell Hayes officiating.
