Mr. James B. Elam, Jr., age 67, of McDonough, GA passed away March 18, 2016. He was born in Charleston, SC the son of the late Edna Mae Lackey Elam and James Berton Elam Sr.; He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, attending his grand children’s sports events, bowling and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patsy Elam of McDonough; children, Cathy Ohlandt (Hank) of Martin, SC, James B. Elam III (Rebecca) of Roseland, LA, and Amy Elam of McDonough; 11 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Dolly Walters of Summerville, SC, Hugh Elam of Summerville, Eugene Elam of Orlando, FL, and Bertie Scholls of Redmond, WA . A memorial service for Mr. Elam will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 beginning 11:00 AM at Sharon Baptist Church with Rev. Ricky Mosel officiating.
