Mr. James Hoover Bell, age 86 of McDonough, Georgia formerly of Morrow passed away November 18, 2015. He was born in Toledo, Ohio to the late Ernest Lafayette and Erminie Cates Bell. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Gertrude Bates Bell. James faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Way of the Cross Baptist Church and was owner/operator of Bell’s Shoe Repair in Atlanta for over 20 years. Survivors include his children, Larry (Bobbie) Bell and Alisa Bell of McDonough; grandchildren, Chevinie (Kipp) Echols, Felicia (Paul) Mitchell, Angel (James) Henderson all of McDonough, Dustin (Hannah) Hunt of Dallas; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Aiden, Jackson, Preston, Miley, Devin and Kameron; sisters, Rosie (Don) Rutledge of Tullahoma, TN, Emma Luna of Nashville, TN; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Rev. Roger Denton will officiate. Interment will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City. Friends may visit the family Friday from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
