Our beloved Jacob William Barton, age 25, of Locust Grove, Georgia unexpectedly passed away on April 2, 2020. Jacob was born in Atlanta, Georgia on December 10, 1994 to William Y. Barton and Dana M. Earls. Jacob is survived by his mother and step-father; Dana and Alan Earls of Jenkinsburg and his father and step-mother; William (Billy) Barton, Jr. and Vanessa Potts of Stockbridge; Sisters: Ashley (David) Swygert of McDonough, Hayden Barton of Stockbridge, Lisa Wilkerson of Fayetteville, Allie (Brett) Howard of Jackson; Brother: Matt (Suzanne) Earls of McDonough; Grandparents: Harold and Elaine McGinnis of Jonesboro and William (Bill) Sr. and Charlotte Barton of Jonesboro. Aunts and Uncles: Kay and Billy Crawley of Hampton; Shannon Barton of Stockbridge; First Cousins: Dylan (Shandi) Crawley of Griffin; Ethan Crawley of Hampton; Garrett Barton of Jonesboro; along with many nieces and nephews.
Jacob graduated high school from Creekside Christian Academy in 2013. After graduation, Jacob worked with his father - Billy, as Vice President with W.B. Grading and Pipe in the grading and construction industry. Jacob had a heart made of gold! Jacob was a hard worker, a loyal friend, and a wonderful son.
He had a contagious and magnetic smile wherever he went.

A graveside service will be held at Berea Cemetery, McDonough Street, in Hampton, GA on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at 11:00AM. Pastor Rodney Knox will officiate the service. A Celebration of Life memorial will be held at a later date.
Upon arrival please respect the COVID-19 guidelines. Only 10 people are allowed at graveside. Vehicles may park in view of the grave but visitors are requested politely to stay beside their vehicles and stand at least six feet apart. The family deeply regrets these restrictions but is concerned for everyone’s health and safety.
