Ike Marshall Wheeler Sr.

Mr. Ike Marshall Wheeler Sr., age 60, of Hampton, Georgia passed away September 17, 2014. Ike was born in Cherokee County. He was employed by Ingles as a meat cutter. Ike was a mason with the Lovejoy Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching Duck Dynasty, doing yard work, feeding the birds, karaoke, working on cars with his son Josh, and spending time with his dogs. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Wesley Wheeler and his first wife, Becky Piper Wheeler. Survivors are his loving wife of 30 years, Teresa Wheeler of Hampton; children, Scarlett Queen (Joey) of Adairsville, Andy Wheeler of McDonough, Myra Higgins (Jay) of Watkinsville, Angie Johnson of McDonough, Jessica Wheeler of McDonough, Tabitha Swayze (Jason) of Jenkinsburg, Josh Wheeler (Cassi) of Hampton, and Ike Wheeler Jr. (Seleka) of Hampton; mother, Wenell Wheeler of McDonough; 16 loving grandchildren; siblings, Mike Wheeler (Brenda) of McDonough, Maxine Phillips of McDonough, Chuck Wheeler (Pam) of Jackson, and Bruce Wheeler (Sandy) of Douglasville; several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014 – 3:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Pastor Dave Riley officiating.
