Helen Nail Rodgers

Helen Nail Rodgers, age 95, passed away June 26, 2014. She was the youngest of six children born to George W. and Eldora Blissitt Nail. She was predeceased by her husband, John T. Rodgers. She grew up in the Ola community and graduated from McDonough High School in 1936. She was an avid gardener spending many hours growing and nurturing her flowers. She was a faithful life-long member of Bethany Baptist Church where she was a member of the Gleaners Sunday School Class. She is survived by four nieces; Bonnie McGarity Williams of Cumming, GA, Carole McGarity Jacobs of Roswell, GA, Betty Nail (Bob) Powell of Lawrenceville, GA and Hilda Mayo Duffey of McDonough, GA; a number of great and great-great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 1:30 – 2:30 PM at Haisten Funeral Home, Zack Hinton Pkwy, McDonough, GA with funeral service to follow at 2:30 PM in the chapel with Rev. Al O’Quinn and Rev. Chuck Shepherd officiating. Interment will be in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Bethany Baptist Church Building Fund, 4 N.
