Glenda Arlene Martin

Glenda Arlene Martin, age 76, of Griffin, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Harrison and Blanche Denmon. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter Selena Martin Harrelson.

Ms. Martin is survived by her children Michelle Martin Driver (Terry), William H. Martin, Jr. (Tami), Jonathan D. Martin, Jason N. Martin (Elisha), Jeremy D. Martin (Melissa), and Stephen M. Martin, Sr. (Paula); 24 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and several beloved family members.

Glenda always put her family first. She undoubtedly loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also loved shopping, banana popsicles, and the Game Show channel. If she were not watching game shows she was either enjoying a Hallmark / Lifetime movie or the Sports channel. She cheered for the Falcons, Bulldogs, and the Braves. Rather it was out of love for the teams themselves or love for her kids who cheered for them was up for debate. She also really enjoyed her Gospel stations but ultimately her enjoyment and heart was for her family, and she will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Glenda will be held Friday, May 19, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, Georgia 30253. A celebration of life will be the next day, Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11:00 AM, in the Haisten Chapel. A burial will immediately follow services at Greenwood Cemetery, 1173 Cascade Cir SW, Atlanta, GA 30311.
