Fred Hightower left this world for his Heavenly Home December 9, 2024 at 6:49 AM with his son and daughter-in-law by his bedside. Fred was born to the late William Cleveland and Ruby Mae Liles Hightower on August 23, 1932 in Roopville, Georgia.
Fred was an active member of Grace Baptist Church in Locust Grove, Georgia. He had served as a Deacon in several previous Baptist Churches were he was a member. Fred retired from Parke-Davis Pharmaceuticals with 37 years service. He then went to work for Kingswood United Methodist Church in Dunwoody, Georgia where he worked as the Maintenance Supervisor for 20 years. Fred was raised on his family farm in Carroll County, Georgia. He loved being outdoors and working with his hands. He was famous for his well manicured lawn and shiny automobiles.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Reba Ann Minnis Hightower, his twin sister Frances, brothers Dewey, Leon and Cellie. He is survived by his Son, Jeffery Fred and wife Melissa Sisk Hightower, several nieces,nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 2PM Sunday, Dec. 15 with a memorial service at 3PM at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Pkwy., S, McDonough, GA 30253. Graveside services will be Friday, Dec. 20 11AM at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens, 359 SW Broad St., Fairburn, GA 30213.
