Frances Blanford Blanford Thompson

Mrs. Frances Blanford Thompson, age 92, of McDonough, GA passed away March 18, 2016. Mrs. Thompson was born in Atlanta, GA the daughter of the late Barbara Grace Jenkins Blanford and John Francis Blanford. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wilbur Thompson; several siblings and children, Karen Thompson and Kenneth Thompson. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, crossword puzzles, TV, and was an avid Braves Fan, gardening and her church activities. She was a member of First Baptist Church of McDonough. Survivors are her son and daughter-in-law, Darryl and Gail Thompson of Stockbridge; 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren; brother, Tracey Blanford (Billie) of Ellenwood; sister, Margaret Starrett of McDonough; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Mrs. Thompson will be Tuesday, March 22, 2016 – 2:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Charles Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 1 – 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the First Baptist Church of McDonough in memory of Mrs. Thompson.
