Frances Callaway Smith

Frances Callaway Smith, age 90 of McDonough, Georgia died on December 26, 2017 with her children by her side. She was the daughter of the late Mary Ammons Callaway and Phillip Dodd Callaway. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram Smith. She is survived by her children, Kathy (Chris) Dixon and Phillip (Julie) Cook; grandson, Cameron (Brittany) Dixon; and her cat, Buddy. Mrs. Smith was a member of the McDonough First United Methodist Church. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed her family and friends, her pets, her church and Shingleroof Campground where she had attended campmeeting every year of her life. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 4, 2018 – 2:00 PM at McDonough First United Methodist Church with Rev. Rick Maeser officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
