Elouise was originally from Tallapoosa, Georgia, later living in Atlanta, Canton, Tampa, Florida, Riverdale and Newnan.
She loved God and Jesus.
She loved to laugh!
She had a really funny, quick wit, although a lot of people didn’t know it because she was so quiet.
She loved the color red!
She loved her family!
She loved to bowl.
She loved to do jigsaw puzzles, any kind of word puzzle and dot-to-dots.
She loved to read books.
She loved John Wayne, the actor, and she wanted to be a cowgirl.
She did NOT like to be tickled on her feet. She would get mad if you tried.
She loved to sing and play the piano.
She loved working with 4-5 year olds in Sunday School and singing in the choir.
She loved to sew and made many an outfit for all of us!
She loved to do stitchery, particularly needlepoint, cross-stitch, and broomstick blankets for family, friends and pets. She loved to do latch hook rugs.
Did we say she loved her family! ... and John Wayne.
She was the sweetest woman, and we count ourselves privileged to have called her mama and Nana.
She was a giver and not a taker. She had the gift of knowing exactly how to help.
She loved cats and dogs, and they loved her.
She loved to play solitaire, mahjong and Santa Balls games on her computer.
She could cook some mean green beans, fried peach pies, okra, cornbread dressing, pecan and cherry pies and more! She could make the best southern sweet iced tea.
She loved westerns, game shows, Hallmark movies.
She always matched her clothes, socks, shoes, accessories.
Did we say she loved her family! ... and John Wayne
She was a perfectionist in all that she did.
She was a solid rock - strong in her faith. It showed in her life, and as an example to us.
She loved working at Delta Airlines as a printer, and was a proud, loyal employee and retiree.
Once she retired, she took care of her beloved grandchildren, MacKenzie and Bobby, while Bob and Elaine worked. The time they spent together was priceless!
She now is face to face with her Lord and Savior.
She is seeing once again her son, Richard, her twin sister, Louise, her brothers, Ira, Clifford, Harold, Ernest and Howell as well as her mama, Clara and her daddy, John.
She is seeing all her friends and others who have gone before her.
And we are left here to live on this earth until God calls us home to rejoice along with her and all the others.
There are so many other things that made you, you that we will treasure.
We grieved you, mama/Nana, before you physically left this earth because of Alzheimer’s, and now we grieve again! But you will live on in our thoughts and hearts! Giddy-up, sweetie!
As requested, there will be no memorial service; only a private family gathering. Elouise will be cremated and buried next to Richard. Of course, her urn is red!
Can’t wait to see you again! Fly high, Sweetie! We Love You!
