Elizabeth Gibbs Evans

Mrs. Elizabeth Gibbs Evans, age 80 of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away April 16, 2018. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late John and Louise Dennington Gibbs. Betty or Baby as she was known enjoyed making jewelry, creating stained glass, flower gardening, dancing and vegetable gardening. She was a member of the Locust Grove United Methodist Church and enjoyed attending a stained glass class at the Senior Center in Locust Grove. Survivors include her husband, Robert D. Evans; children, Robert Dennington (Kathy) Lamb of Greeley, CO, Thomas Gibbs Lamb of Fayetteville, GA, Cathy (Bubba) Bales of Locust Grove, GA, Betsy (Marty) Perren of Jonesboro, GA; grandchildren, Bobby, Mary, Jacque, Hannah, Michael, David, Jason, Jeremy, Christa, Michael, Draven, Amy and John; ten great grandchildren; sister, Roberta Simmons of Locust Grove, GA; brother, John Newton Gibbs of Germany. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 20, 2018 – 11:00 AM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta at 1:00 PM. Friends may visit the family Thursday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Haisten Funeral Home of McDonough.
