Eddie Ray Smith

Eddie Ray Smith, age 63 of McDonough, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019 loving husband of 45 years to Theresa Smith. Eddie was born in Knoxville, TN to the late Homer Ray & Kathryn Smith. Eddie proudly served in the Marines and enjoyed fishing. When he wasn't watching the Falcons, he was singing and playing his guitar. In addition to his wife, Eddie is survived by his sons: Dennis Ray Smith of Locust Grove, Jason (Marlina) Smith of McDonough and is predeceased by his daughter Amy Smith Brown; grandchildren: Dustin, Cody, Aaron, Chase, Emily, Peyton, Malachi and Timo; five great grandchildren: Brayden, McKinlee, Brantley, Colton, and Bryson; Siblings: Cathy, Jackie, Jerry, Billy, Cheryl, and Cliff: beloved in-laws: Joyce, Robert and Kerstin; and many loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Haisten Funeral Home from 12:00PM - 2:00PM on Monday, December 23, 2019. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home at 2:00PM on Monday, December 23, 2019 with Dave Rogers officiating. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
