Donald Gay Thompson, age 61, of Locust Grove, GA passed away August 25, 2014. Don was born in Buchanan, GA the son of the late Henry and Evelyn Pearson Thompson. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Joe Thompson. Don had worked for the State of Georgia in the Supply Division under public safety before his declining health. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, working on small engines, watching wrestling, being a jokester, and going to Disney World. Survivors are his wife, Deborah Jones Thompson of Locust Grove; children, Amy Day (Jeremy) of Locust Grove, Christy Brown (Randall) of McDonough; grandchildren, Cohen Day, Evan Day, Cooper Day and Harrison Brown and a nephew. A memorial service for Don will be Thursday evening, August 28, 2014 – 6:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral home with Rev. Glenn Todd officiating.
