Donald Anthony Shaw

Donald Anthony “Tony” Shaw was born on December 23, 1962 to Donald and Vickie Pope Shaw. He grew up in Riverdale, Georgia, graduated from Riverdale High School, and attended Riverdale First Baptist Church. Tony had a long and successful career in printing and bindery that spanned nearly 40 years. He was arguably one of the most knowledgeable and talented in the trade. Tony was also a gifted artist, skilled carpenter, and musician - all self taught. Out of all the things Tony was able to build in his lifetime, he would tell you his greatest accomplishments are his children and his highest honor was being “Papa” to his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Donald R. Shaw; his uncle, Alton Shaw; and his grandson, Keegan Tatum. He is survived by his mother, Vickie Pope Shaw; his sister, Judy Shaw; his children - Toni Danielle Tatum (Brian), Dakota Ashley Williams (Kevin), and Matthew Donald Shaw (Courtney); his grandchildren - Abigail and Aubrey Kate Tatum, Forrest and Lily Williams, and Harper Shaw; his best friend and faithful four legged companion, Kyra Jane.

A visitation for Donald will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Haisten Funerals & Cremations, 1745 Zack Hinton Parkway, McDonough, Georgia 30253, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM in the Haisten chapel.
