Debra Ann McLeod

Debra attended Griffin High School and was an Alumni of Mercer University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Her love for children led her to a career teaching Kindergarten at Luella and Hampton Elementary Schools for a total of 27 years.

Debra is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years James "Marion" McLeod, her daughter Laura (David) Sewell, her son Matthew McLeod and grandsons Austin, Parker and Brady Sewell. As well as several beloved in-laws, nieces and nephews.

Debra loved the beach, reading books and all shades of green. She was a loyal watcher of Days of Our Lives and had a turtle collection to rival any other.

Whether you knew her as Debra Ann, Mom, Momma, Dabba, Mrs. McLeod, Aunt Debra or the name she cherished most, Mamaw, you are invited to share in the celebration of life and the sharing of stories and memories on Saturday June 4, 2022 at Haisten Funerals and Cremations. Friends will be received beginning at 11:00 am with services to start at 1:00 pm.
