Deborah Ann Sherwood, passed from this earthly life on October 13, 2022. She leaves behind her devoted husband Douglas Sherwood Jr., son, Christopher Sherwood (wife Astrid), three grandsons, Cody Colosi, Xander Schamens, Porter Sherwood, granddaughter Lorelei Carreon and step brother James Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents Ronald Morgan, Barbara Miller, brother Greg Morgan, husband Bert Schamens and son Cory Schamens. Debby was born December 24, 1958 in Oceanside, California and spent her years in various places including Arizona, South Carolina, New Mexico, and Nevada before finally settling in Georgia for the last 17 years. She married her love, Douglas Sherwood on November 9, 1997 after being a widow for 2 years. She not only had endless talents of painting, cooking, sewing, and gardening but also took great pride in sharing those skills and gifts. She spent many years teaching cooking classes for both children and adults and loved sharing her cherished recipes with everyone. She has spent countless hours serving in various capacities to her beloved church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and had a special love and appreciation for its missionaries. Debby took great pride in preserving family memories to pass on. She compiled books of stories, pictures, and recipes that are treasured keepsakes for generations to come. Her love of her Savior was evident in how she lived her life and loved those around her. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, GA. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park, 640 McGarity Road, McDonough, GA 30252
