Christopher John Dixon

Christopher John Dixon, age 62 of Stockbridge, GA died on April 17, 2021. He was born in Kokomo, IN March 23, 1959 and was the son of John and Connie Dixon. He was a graduate of Lewis Cass High School in Walton, IN, and LaGrange College in LaGrange, GA. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Kathy Dixon, son Cam (Brittany) Dixon, and granddaughter Harper Dixon; sisters Karen (Chris) Keisling, Nieta (Terry) Merrell, and brother Kyle (Kristi) Dixon; several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Chris was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He cherished spending time with his granddaughter and working on his family’s farm. He loved sports, especially basketball. Chris had many fond memories of his time playing basketball at Lewis Cass and LaGrange College. He treasured the lifelong friendships he made with his teammates and coaches.

The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, April 24, 2021 – 1:00 PM at Haisten Funeral Home with Dr. Mel Blackaby officiating. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday one hour prior to the funeral and following the graveside service. For the friends and loved ones who are unable to attend, please note that the service will be livestreamed, and the link to the stream can be found on Chris’s page on the funeral home’s website. There will also be a celebration of life at 1:00 PM on June 5, 2021 at First Baptist Church Galvestion, IN.
