Charles Samuel Carlson, age 88, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018. Charles was born August 25, 1929 to the late Thomas and Beatrice Carlson. Charlie was known to be a very hard worker. He spent many hours, along with his brother, at their company, Carlson Muffler Manufacturing. He and Bumpy took over the business from their parents and have run it since Charlie was 20 years old. He was in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Charlie is preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 50 years, Barbara Carlson; 1 brother; and 2 sisters. He is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Bedford and husband, Herman, Sharon Feltner and husband, Jim; grandchildren, Sean Maddox, Tyler Bedford, Brandy Cole, Matt Mayfield; Great- grandchildren, Olivia, Josie, Brice, Brynlee; Brother, Bumpy Carlson, and nieces, Michelle and Gina.
A visitation for Charles will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Haisten Funeral Home.
