Cathy Thompson Beck

Mrs. Cathy Thompson Beck, age 57, of Morrow, GA passed away April 5, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. Cathy was born in Atlanta, GA. She worked most of her working career at Southeastern Freight Lines as a rate clerk. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, football, especially being a Georgia Bulldog Fan. Cathy loved animals, shopping, Mexican food and spoiling her grandson. She was preceded in death by her mother, Louise Thompson. Survivors are her husband of 38 years, Richard Beck of Morrow; children, Candice Beck McDonough and Dustin Beck of Fayetteville; father, Lewis Thompson of Atlanta; grandson, Ean Marria of McDonough; sisters, Gloria Preston of Dallas, GA and Sandra Britt and husband, Eddie of McDonough; several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service for Cathy will be on Saturday, April 8, 2017 – 4:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Chaplain Jerry Weaver officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 3:00 – 4:00 PM. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
