Mrs. Carol Fancher of Hampton, GA passed away peacefully at home on December 16, 2020. Carol was born in Belmont, New York and spent 16 years working in the Holland Central School System in Holland, New York before retiring from the Hope Center Recovery Program for Women in Lexington, Kentucky. Her days at the Hope Center were both filled with joy when there was a celebration of success, and at times, disappointment and hurt at the setbacks.
Carol enjoyed reading her early morning devotional and then any good book after that, solving Wheel of Fortune puzzles before the contestants did, eating out at any time, joining Jay on a good day motorcycle ride, listening to music, spending hours putting together difficult puzzles, and going to pickleball tournaments to watch her husband Jay and friends compete and have fun. Carol was proud to be a Rush Limbaugh baby every day at noon as she sat with a fat cat in her lap. Carol found peace sitting on the back porch enjoying the beauty of the flower gardens and watching the hummingbirds or spotting an unfamiliar bird to look up and learn about.
Carol is survived by her husband Jay Fancher of Hampton, GA, his sons Scott Fancher and Jason Fancher of Lexington, Ky, her daughter Melissa (Charles) Walpole of Bellingham, NY, her son Brian (Judy) Breslin of Springville, NY and their daughter Amy. Carol’s extended family also includes step daughters; Judy (Robert) Belisle of Atlanta, Ga and their sons Ben and Sam, Patricia Smith of Boston, NY, Anita Baker of Gowanda, NY and her son Erik, Deborah (John) Forness of Boston, NY and their sons John Jr (Jessica) and Bradley (Abby). Carol is also blessed with 7 great grand children; Ari, Manny, Isla, Navi, Colin, Adrianna and Noah David.
