“Sometimes real superheroes live in the hearts of small children fighting big battles.” – Anonymous
Whoever wrote those words must have written them about Bradin. Bradin Ace Maddox was a superhero in his own right, although he preferred a pirate’s hat and a black flag over a cape. Born on June 15th, 2010, this young man sailed his ship into this world and changed it for the better with his very first breath.
Bradin had many strengths, but his greatest treasure was buried deep in his heart… his unconditional love for his family and friends. Bradin took all of the tumultuous ocean waves that life gave him, and with hurricane force, turned them into his biggest strength. The soothing touch of his mother’s hand; the soft giggle from his younger brother; and the playfulness from his daddy all mixed together to give him the power to fight all of the struggles and skallywags that came his way. He found resilience in a lifetime of happiness, contentment, love and peace. That, along with an unending desire for Chick-fil-A nuggets and The Lion King on continuous loop. There were, of course, some earthly things that he couldn’t do, but what he could do far outweighed them. Some people can walk without direction… but Bradin would feel the beat and bob his head on tempo to any rap song that came on the radio. Some people can speak but are often careless with their words. Bradin could speak volumes with just a smile and a laugh, finding satisfaction in his links, and letting you know exactly what his feelings were at that moment. On October 11th, 2022, Bradin took the helm and charted his own course through these rough seas we call life. As this beautiful boy sailed through Heaven’s Gate, his Daddy was there in his Walt Disney Goofy ears, welcoming him into a whole new world where the skies are always blue and the seas are always calm. Bradin is survived by his devoted mother, Alex Maddox; brother Bodie; grandparents Ebb and Tammy Segars & Ken and Kelly Maddox; Aunts Samantha Browning (Trevor) and Makenzie Maddox; Uncles Tony Segars (Sarabeth), Coleton Segars (Rainey), and Xylon Moreno; his best friend Lily Kenon; and a ship full of great grandparents, great aunts and uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving father, Chase Lee Maddox. Services will be held at 6:00pm on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Christ Zebulon Church, 68 Old Zebulon Rd, Zebulon, GA 30295. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Band of Blue: https://bandblue.givingfuel.com/band-of-blue
