Mrs. Bettye Jo Whitson, 92 of Jackson passed away on July 9, 2021. She was born in Hubbertville, AL on November 10, 1928. Bettye was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Henry C. Whitson. She is survived by her children, David (Lynn) Whitson of McDonough, Georgia, Judy (Larry) Wallace of Jackson, Georgia and Leisa McGinnis of Tampa, Florida. Grandchildren, Christi (Dave) Olcott of Hartwell, Georgia, Jason (Laura) Whitson of McDonough, Georgia, Jay (Tammy) Wallace of Senoia, Georgia, Brandon Glaze of Tampa, Florida, Jared (Carolann) Whitson of McDonough, Georgia, Josh Whitson of Denver, Colorado, Samantha Sledge of Richardson, Texas, Katie Whitson of McDonough, Georgia and eleven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. One sister, Alene Weeks of Hueytown, Alabama. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at the Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held in our chapel on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 11:00am followed by the interment at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
