Bettye McEver

Bettye McEver, age 84, of McDonough, Georgia passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022. She was born on October 16, 1938 in McDonough to the late William Franklin and Clara Belle Morris. Bettye was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee McEver and her daughter, Tracey McEver. She was an avid Braves fan and enjoyed cooking and basketball. Bettye attended Phillipi Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Timmy (Anita) McEver of Hastings, FL, Toney McEver of McDonough, Terry McEver of McDonough, Teresa (Shaun) Kent of Locust Grove and Tammy McEver of McDonough. Four grandchildren, Jennifer Grindle, Danielle (Taylor) Murphy, Carmen McEver and Derek Kent, three great grandchildren Kyledan Shirey, Mackenzie Shirey and Rowland Murphy. Three sisters, Wylene Eason of McDonough, Janice Brueshaber of Danielsville, GA and Cathie (Mark) Stephens of Mauldin, S.C. The family will receive friends from 12:00 -1:30pm on Friday, January 6, 2023 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough. Graveside services will follow at 2:00pm at Eastlawn Memorial Park in McDonough, GA. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to any charity for the blind.
