Bert Thomas English

Mr. Bert Thomas English, age 89 of Locust Grove, Georgia passed away January 18, 2016. He was born in Tiger, Georgia to the late Jim and Carrie Dolly Holcomb English. He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Owens English. Bert faithfully served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He attended Piedmont College and was a member of the American Legion where he served as Post Commander. He was owner operator of English Equipment & Service, Inc. Survivors include his sons, Gregory T. (Deborah) English of Douglasville, Christopher B. English of Locust Grove, Jeffrey V. (Paula) English of Snellville; grandchildren, Jennifer (Brad) Snell, Crystal English, Jeffrey English, Cary English and Jessica (Brad) Hall; great grandchildren, Hannah Moon, Hunter Moon, Brooklyn Moon and Brynlee Snell. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family Saturday from 12:00 – 2:00 pm prior to the service.
