Arva Jane Cook

Mrs. Arva Jane Holsomback Cook, age 75, of Locust Grove, Ga passed away July 18, 2014. Janey was born in Dalton, Georgia the daughter of the late Joe and Carrie Holsomback. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Cook; a brother, Tommy Holsomback; and grandchildren, Katie and Taylor Farmer. Janey was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family, doing crafts, fishing, flowers, gardening, spoiling her great grandchildren and cooking. She was a member of New Beginnings Worship Center of Henry County. Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Ronnie Duffey; Grandchildren, Kiesha and Brian Clotfelter, Kim Duffey, of Locust Grove, and Dusty and Mary Carver of McDonough; niece that she raised, Pam Farmer of Locust Grove; great grandchildren, Kieley and Kiera Clotfelter and Breck and Owen Carver; siblings, Joann Jones of Dalton, Larry and Juanita Holsomback of Dalton, Sue Davis of Smyrna, Terry Holsomback of Hapeville, Wayne Holsomback of LaFayette, Carrie Ann Holsomback of Dalton, Charlotte and Larry Maynard of KY, Birdie Holsomback of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Faye Cook of Calhoun; numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Janey will be on Monday, July 21, 2014 – 2:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Ronnie Duffey and Brian Clotfelter officiating.
