Allen David Cook

Mr. Allen David Cook, age 72, of Lawrenceville, GA. formerly of Brooks, passed away February 2, 2017. Mr. Cook was born in Atlanta, GA the son of the late Gladys Carter Cook. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, serving his God, fishing, hunting, playing the guitar, gunsmith and repairing cars. He worked most of his working career in business for himself at Tubs and Tops Resurfacing. Survivors are his loving wife, Melanie Cook of Lawrenceville; children, Jason Cook (Dianne) of Brooks, Maria Walsh (Aubrey) of McDonough, and Joseph Cook (Paige) of Griffin; step children, Colie Knotts (Cindy) of Dawsonville, and Holly Shelnutt (Wayne) of Loganville; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. A Memorial Service for Mr. Cook will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
