Aleta Rae Walters

Aleta Rae Walters, age 77, of Hampton, Georgia passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021. She was born October 7, 1944 to Scott and Margie Kerr. Aleta was the daughter of a Dean of Toccoa Falls Christian College. She was a nurse at Toccoa Clinic and she loved to travel and do Karaoke. She and her husband loved going to Navy reunions. Aleta was a generous person, always making quilts and clothes and toys for the missionary. She made quilts for cancer patients and made clothes for women in missions in other countries. She is survived by her children, Steven (Connie) Walters of Hampton, GA and Denise Walters Manuel of Hampton, GA. Five grandchildren, Jennifer Adams, Kasey Craft Deschaine, Edward Craft, Justin (Diana) Walters and Taylor (Cori) Walters and seven great grandchildren. Her brother, Doug (Debbie) Kerr of Clarkesville, GA, sisters, Linda Kay (Syd) Lawson of Mount Airy, GA and Kirsten Gastley of Douglasville, GA and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm - 7:00pm on Wednesday at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, Georgia. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on November 11, 2021 in our chapel. Burial will follow at Sunshine Methodist Cemetery in Toccoa, GA.
