Albert "Waymon" Adams, age 85, of McDonough, Georgia passed away December 26, 2022. He was born February 17, 1937 in Fayetteville, Georgia to the late Carl and Elza Banks Adams. He was preceded in death by a son, Steven Lamar Adams and by siblings, Jesse Adams, Mae White and Lee Barnette. Waymon retired after 40 years with Carolina Freight and was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and enjoyed gardening. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Jan Adams; children, Allison (Jason) Chambers and Ken (Jenn) Wilson; daughter in law, Brenda Adams; grandchildren, Samuel and Emerson Chambers, Ashley Williams and Cara Hall. A visitation will be held Friday, December 30, 2022 from 10:30 am until 12:00 pm in the Sanctuary of Salem Baptist Church. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 pm in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions are asked to be made to the Salem Baptist Church Benevolence Fund or to Sacred Journey Hospice in memory of Mr. Adams.
