William Nelson Caudill, 74, of Maysville died Saturday, December 14, 2013 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Mr. Caudill was a 1957 graduate of Maysville High School and upon graduation immediately went to work at Browning Manufacturing Co. Division of Emerson Electric, where he worked as a production scheduler, production manufacturing manager at Plants 1 and 2 in Maysville and also at Chatsworth, Georgia. He was Inside Sales Manager until his retirement in 2001 after forty-three years of employment. He served in the United States Army 400th Quartermaster Corp and was a member of the Ringgold Lodge #27 IOOF, the International Order of Foresters. Mr. Caudill was an avid Cincinnati Reds baseball fan and enjoyed following his grandchildren’s sports and school activities, as well as his daily outings with his faithful companion, CeCe. He was born in Mason County, Kentucky on October 4, 1939 the only child of the late William Thomas and Trella Mae Cole Caudill. He leaves behind his wife of fifty years, the former Patricia Pfeffer, his children, Stephen R. Caudill, Sandra Caudill (John) Estill and William Kelly Caudill; seven grandchildren, Patrick, Claire and Kathleen Estill, Elizabeth, William, Eva and John Caudill; a brother-in-law, William J. Pfeffer; nieces, Laura (Don) Hughes and Sharon (Mike) Phillips and one great nephew, Stephen Phillips as well as a host of family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Christopher P. Caudill and a brother-in-law, P. Thomas Pfeffer. Mass of Christian Burial for William N. Caudill will be held at the Saint Patrick Church at 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 19, 2013 with Reverend Michael Comer and Reverend John P. Noe as celebrants. Burial will follow in the Saint Patrick Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Patrick Estill, William Caudill, Bill Pfeffer, John Estill, Donald Hughes and Mike Phillips. There will be no visitation prior to the services. Memorials may be made to the Saint Patrick School, 318 Limestone, Maysville, KY 41056 or to the Christopher P. The arrangements are under the direction of the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home.
