2017 at his residence. Mr. Whitehead was born in Wallins Creek, Kentucky on
April 18, 1937 the son of the late Rev. Theodore Whitehead and Cloa Daniel
Whitehead. He was a retired veteran of the US Army and later retired from
Dayton Power and Light Company. Mr. Whitehead was a Kentucky Colonel,
an avid Amateur Radio operator “KD4PYZ”, a longtime member of the
Wallins Creek Masonic Lodge where he had served as the Lodge Master, had
served as a former City Commissioner for the City of Dover, a past volunteer
for the Wallins Creek Volunteer Fire Department and the Dover Volunteer Fire
Department and was a former Scout Master and President of the Little League
Baseball at West Alexandria, Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Iris Adams
Whitehead; his two sons, Tim Whitehead (Mary) of Trenton, OH and Jeff
Whitehead (Lynn) of Loveland, OH; his grandchildren, Courtney Smith
(Matthew) and Jennifer Whitehead; his step-daughters, Kenda Collins of
Manchester, OH, Gilberta Colgan (William) of Flemingsburg, KY and Angel
Wagoner (Timothy) of Cynthiana, KY; his step-grandchildren, Shawn
Mulholland, Chad Brewer (Kat) and Daniel Brewer and his two brothers, Gary
Whitehead (Pat) of Richmond, KY and Robert Whitehead (Tammy) of Stanton,
KY. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lloyd
Whitehead and Paul Whitehead. A visitation for T. J. Whitehead will be held at
the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 6 pm
to 8 pm, with Masonic Rights at 7:30 pm. Following the visitation, graveside
services will be held at the Park Howard Cemetery in Wallins Creek, Kentucky
on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 2:00 PM under the direction of the Loyall Funeral
Home, Loyall, KY 40854. Pallbearers will be Tim Whitehead, Jeff Whitehead,
Shawn Mulholland, Robbie Whitehead, Steven Whitehead and Matthew Smith.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Hope, 909 Kenton
Station Drive, Maysville, KY 41056. Local arrangements are entrusted to the
Knox and Brothers Funeral Home.
