Richard Franklin Ash

Maysville – Richard “Rick” Franklin Ash, 64, of Tollesboro, Kentucky died Sunday, April 01, 2018 at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. He was a member of the Tollesboro Christian Church and he was a veteran having served in the US Army. Rick was born in Maysville, Kentucky on May 14, 1953 the son of Hubert Franklin “Frank” and Betty Jane Doyle Ash of Tollesboro, Kentucky. Besides his parents he is survived by his wife, Reva Carpenter Ash; his son, Jason Franklin Ash (Alicia) and his grandson, Grayson Ash, all of Murfreesboro, TN; his sister, Rachael Applegate (Randy) of Maysville, KY; nephews, Adam Applegate (Jess) of Louisville, KY, Ryan Applegate of Lexington, KY; Michael Cooper (Kate) of Daphne, AL and Todd Cooper (Dawn) of Mt. Olivet, KY; one great nephew, Wyatt Cooper and his sister-in-law, Shelby Jean Cooper (Wayne) of Mt. Olivet, KY. It is the request of Mr. Ash that upon his death, he would be cremated and that no services or visitation were to be held. Memorials may be made to the Tollesboro Christian Church, 3684 W. KY 10, Tollesboro, KY 41189 or to donate.nra.org or to the aspca.org. The arrangements have been entrusted to the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home.
