Lena Mae Hoover

Lena Mae Hoover, 85, of Dover, Kentucky died Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the Pioneer Trace Nursing Home in Flemingsburg, KY. Lena formerly worked for H & R Block and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was an avid bowler, loved arts and crafts and loved to do church work and help others. Lena was born in Dover, Kentucky on September 23, 1931 the daughter of the late Isaac Newton Manley and Mae Marie McNutt Manley. She is survived by her son, Larry Wayne Aldridge (Sue) of Aberdeen, OH; her daughter, Martha Jane Aldridge of Paris, KY; grandchildren, Brian Aldridge, Allison Fields, Steven Brooks and Dawn Renee Brooks; great grandchildren, Samantha Aldridge, Justin Aldridge, Ryan Proffitt, Corey Fields, Haley Stanley, Kyler Brooks, Logan Brooks and Jaron Brooks. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husbands, Paul Eugene Hoover and Walter Mistishin, her daughter, Peggy Lee Brooks and twin daughters, Paula Marie Hoover and Carla Maria Hoover and one brother, Jerry Manley. Funeral services for Lena Hoover will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Friday, January 27, 2017. Burial will be in the Rosemont Cemetery in Dover, Kentucky. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from noon until the hour of the service.
