Joyce Ann Lay

Joyce Ann Garrett Lay, 59, of Aberdeen, Ohio died Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the UC Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ms. Lay was involved in home healthcare. She was born in Maysville, Kentucky the daughter of the late George William Garrett Sr. and Dorothy Louise Pelphrey Garrett. She is survived by her two sons, Brandon Lay of Aberdeen, OH and Josh Lay of Austin, TX; her brother, George Garrett (Shanna) of Aberdeen, OH; sisters, Sherry Mullins (Sonny) of Wheelersburg, OH, Linda Sexson (Belford) and Jennifer Ricketts (Charles) both of Aberdeen, OH; her ex-husband and special friend, Jay Barbour of Palm Coast, FL; her special pet, Barney and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home at 3:00 PM Sunday, May 31, 2015 with Pastor Carl Beck officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 PM until the hour of the service.
