John E. Browning, Jr., 85, resident of East Second St., died Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. Mr. Browning was born in Maysville on September 29, 1927 the son of the late John E. and Gertrude Story Browning. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, a veteran of the United States Army, and the Maysville Knights of Columbus and also had been the manager of the Maysville Coca Cola Plant. Mr. Browning is survived by his wife Ailene Trumbo Browning, three daughters, Tawnya (Stan) Bloomfield of Maysville, Tamara Browning of Maysville, and Tarri (Danny) Jett of Lexington, six grand children, eleven great-grandchildren, one sister, Betty (David) Flaugher of Aberdeen. He is survived by several step brothers and step sisters. He was preceded in death by his son Tony Ray Browning who died in 1987 and a sister Elva Wheeler. Funeral services for Johnny Browning will be at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home Tuesday at 2 P.M. with Deacon Rev. Ernest B. Hillenmeyer officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Patrick Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Stan Bloomfield, Danny Jett, Sr., Dominic Pangallo, Michael Ginn, Danny Jett, Jr. and Wesley Jett. Visitation will be at the funeral home Tuesday from noon til the hour of service.
