Jane Federico

JANE FEDERICO (nee Cicero) passed away on May 8, 2023, at the age of 87. Jane was born to John and Elizabeth Cicero in Clymer, Pennsylvania but spent most of her life in the Cleveland area. Jane lived an incredibly faith-filled life, fully committed to serving others. She was a Sister of Saint Joseph in Rocky River for 17 years. Jane ultimately felt called to the vocation of marriage and married Michael Federico. She continued her devotion to the Catholic Church as a dedicated parishioner, Eucharistic Minister for the homebound, and regularly attended daily Mass at St. Paschal Baylon parish in Highland Heights. Jane was also a dedicated and compassionate teacher for East Cleveland schools for over 42 years. After retiring from the school system, Jane continued to serve as a substitute teacher throughout greater Cleveland, at Gesu, St. Paschal, Mayfield schools, and the Cuyahoga East Vocational Education Consortium. Jane also enjoyed serving at her local polling place during elections. Jane will be lovingly remembered for her caring nature, her infectious laugh, her unwavering faith, and her love for her family and friends. She is survived by her sisters Minnie Fraley (George, deceased), Helen McDonnell (Patrick, deceased), Laura Sosnowski (Dennis), and three generations of dear nieces and nephews. Jane is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Michael Federico, and her brothers Sylvester (Rose, deceased), Edward (Alice, deceased), Angelo (Frances, deceased), and George. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jane's memory to St. Paschal Baylon Endowment Fund, 5384 Wilson Mills Rd., Highland Hts. OH 44143. Relatives and friends are invited to gather for a visitation at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM Monday, May 15 at St. Paschal Baylon Church.
