JAMES "JIM" BIGGINS was called home by the Lord on February 7, 2022. James Michael Biggins was born June 25, 1948. James, or Jim as his most beloved called him, was born in East Cleveland, OH, to John Biggins and Arline Elizabeth Biggins (Cornoff), who both preceded him in death. The last survivor of his siblings, Jim was also preceded in death by Judy Bill, Jackie Biggins, JoAnn Decumbe, and Mary Pipoly, whom properly prepared both Saints Peter, Paul and Christ, for Jim's arrival.
Jim was a member of the 1966 Shaw High School graduating class and served in the US Army in the Vietnam War from 1969 through 1970..
Upon his return from the Army, Jim married his life-long love Patricia Biggins (Del Re) on March 3, 1973, and spent 49 wonderfully blessed years together. They had two loving children, John E. and Nicole Marie (Fuhrman), whom married Emily (Bastian) and Thomas (Fuhrman).
Jim worked for the Eaton Corporation for 38 years, which led him to travel all over this earth, including a wonderful trip with his wife to Ireland.
Jim had many loves in his life, including watching the Cleveland Indians, Cavaliers, and Browns. He also loved keeping up with current events. His favorite pastime was taking his family to The Jake and watching the Indians play ball. He never smiled wider than when his son would join him for a baseball or basketball game, or watching the Browns. Jim also had a love for fishing, taking his family to Lake Chautauqua to catch Bluegill. Golf would remain a life-long love of Jim, especially enjoying rounds with his son John. Later in life, there was no greater joy than watching his grandchildren Aiden Fuhrman, Cassidy Biggins, Emmerson Fuhrman and Adalyn Fuhrman. There has been no joy greater than watching Jim observe his grandkids.
The family will receive friends Friday February 11, 2022 at DiCicco & Sons Funeral Home, 5975 Mayfield Rd. Mayfield Hts. OH 44124, from 4-7pm. Jim will be laid to rest 11:00 am Tuesday February 15, at Whitehaven Memorial Park, 615 SOM Center Rd., Mayfield, OH 44143. There will be a continuation of the celebration of life at 12pm to follow at DiCicco & Sons Funeral Home.
